Trinidad and Tobago’s Third National Money Laundering Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment (NRA) covers the period January 2021 to December 2024 and builds on the lessons learned from the previous assessments. The first and second NRAs covered the periods 2011 to 2014, and 2016 to 2020, respectively. This third NRA serves to strengthen the country’s capacity to identify, assess, and respond to emerging risks within a risk-based framework, reinforcing the importance of a whole-of-government and public-private sector approach in combating financial crime. It also provides an updated, evidence-based analysis of sectoral vulnerabilities, emerging typologies, and national exposure in accordance with the 2023 FATF Methodology.
