Dr. Marlene Murray is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago and also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She holds a B.Sc. in Management Studies, M.Sc. in Accounting and a PHD in Economic Development Policy from the University of the West Indies.
Dr. Murray’s professional career covers over thirty years of extensive experience financial assessments, investments analysis and risk evaluation. Her experience includes the functions of regulator of the securities and capital markets as well as the insurance and pensions industry.
She lectured in Finance at the University of the West Indies on a part-time basis and as a full- time Lecturer in Insurance and Risk Management.
Dr. Murray was appointed as Commissioner on June 10, 2024, for a term of three years. This will be her first appointment as a Commissioner.
