Ms. Zahrah Mohammed is currently the Assistant Manager of the Debt Management Division at the Ministry of Finance where she oversees the development and implementation of economic, fiscal and debt-related policies.
She has over 10 years’ experience in public debt management and was formerly assigned to the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director of Brazil, Cabo Verde, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guyana, Haiti, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname, Timor-Leste and Trinidad and Tobago.
Ms. Mohammed is a national scholar and has both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
She was appointed as Commissioner on October 6th 2023, for a term of three years.
