TTSEC’s 8th National Investor Education Month

2024, marks the eighth (8th) year the TTSEC will be observing National Investor Education Month, which is held in May to coincide with the anniversary of the Commission. This national initiative is aimed at increasing awareness about the role and functions of the TTSEC and promoting education on the securities industry and investing.

The theme focusses on The Importance of Financial Inclusion’ which has been identified by the Global Financial Inclusion Index 2023, as an emerging trend and speaks to the growing importance of financial education.

Among the activities planned by the TTSEC for National IE Month include: a public exhibition at Long Circular Mall, St James, on May 2nd 2024 from 10am to 4pm; collaboration with the Financial Literacy Secretariat, Tobago House of Assembly, to host an ‘Investor Starter Forum’  on May 16th 2024 and a radio and social media public education series on investing that will run from May 1st -31st 2024.
