The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (TTSEC) was established in 1997 under the Securities Industry Act and now operates under the Securities Act, 2012. As the regulator of the securities industry in Trinidad and Tobago, the TTSEC is responsible for fostering a fair, transparent, and efficient capital market.
Our mandate is to protect investors from unfair, improper, or fraudulent practices; to promote market integrity; and to ensure compliance with established regulatory standards. We supervise and monitor market activity, license market participants, and enforce disclosure requirements in order to build investor confidence and support the sustainable development of Trinidad and Tobago’s financial markets.
