Capital Market Development Breakfast Meeting

13-Mar-2008 7:30 AM – 13-Mar-2008 10:00 AM
Venue: Hyatt Regency Trinidad

The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission believes that it is important that a public debate on the management of cross-border securities issues be initiated in order to provide the basis for future discussion and future operations of the regional securities markets. Consequently, the Commission will be hosting a Breakfast Meeting on Thursday 13 March at which it will seek to initiate such a public discussion forum on the regulation of cross-border securities matters in the region. The Meeting will include a presentation by senior officials of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission who will share their views on a model for cross-border cooperation and collaboration that may be of value to the region while it makes efforts to achieve the ultimate objective of full harmonisation of all securities legislation.
